Here is what a recent bride & groom wrote: Althea was brilliant from start to finish. The entire process was seamless & the experience of marriage enriched by her expertise & gentle approach. The service was drafted & amount of material supplied for us to find the perfect readings and poems was spot on. The suggestions were perfectly tailored to our personalities & we thoroughly appreciated how much effort & work Althea put into our service & marriage process. I cannot fault her! She was wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a celebrant that goes above & beyond to ensure a perfect day. Georgie & Michael
The Ship Inn at Southbank Parklands reverberated to the sound of the pipes when Joe piped in Liann, Jason & Finlay. Family & friends gathered to share their special moment with Marney & Steve serving as witnesses.
Liann’s brother, Greg & friend, Andy read a couple of passages that resonated with the bride & groom. It was a perfect afternoon. There are more photographs in Gallery 8.
Brisbane turned on a beautiful autumn morning to welcome Liann, Jason & their son Finlay. As they live in Ediburgh, I had been looking forward to meeting them as we had communicated over the last few months to develop their marriage ceremony. We met over coffee, tea & ginger-nut biscuits at Flowers of the World in Grey Street, South Brisbane. To me, it felt like I had known them for years.
As their Notification of Intended Marriage form (NOIM) had been competed & witnessed in Edinburgh months ago, I needed to receive this & then discuss the other legal requirements of marriage before focusing on their marriage ceremony.
Fabulous autumn evening….gathering of family & friends….Greek food….music…full moon…probably doesn’t get much better than this. Helen walked in with her father, John to music played by Liz & Michel when she married John tonight at Kafe Meze in West End.
Dear friend, Susan wrote & shared some reflective words which were great fun to mark their special day & Pete, Helen’s brother played the banjo while we signed the legal documents.
Liz, Helen’s youngest sister was best woman, while Geoffrey, John’s son was best man. Nick, Helen’s youngest nephew was the ring bearer.

In the middle of all that rain on Saturday, Antoinette, Maher & I met to complete the Notification of Intended Marriage form & to review a birth certificate & passport.
We then discussed possible inclusions & definate exclusions for the marriage ceremony. Now it’s up to me to create the first draft & email it to the happy couple. By the time of their marriage later in the year, the ceremony will have been worked on by the three of us to such an extent that it be just the way they want it to be.
It had rained all night…& was even heavier this morning…so Plan B – The Plough Inn Tavern at Southbank Parklands was the chosen spot for Rebeca & John’s marriage. Guests celebrated their happy event with them knowing they would stay dry.
Last night Siyavash & Greta renewed their marriage vows.
Their families were lead by zurna players, Bill & Mike into the paved circular area at the South Brisbane Sailing Club. Esfand (incense) was burned & carried with them. This ritual of the Procession of the Families symbolised not just two people but two families - two networks of people coming together from two different hemispheres. There are more photographs in Gallery 7.

Rebeca, John & I met this Anzac Day morning in the park in which they are to marry. It was lovely to see both people & ducks enjoying the serenity of their surroundings.
We fine-tuned the marriage ceremony & signed the Declaration that they have no legal impediments to marry. They tell me that all is now ready for a wonderful day for them & their guests.
What a beautifully soft afternoon Jessica & Casey enjoyed for their wedding ceremony. They chose the Rotunda at Laguna Park at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast to exchange their vows. It was just perfect.
Family had arrived from New Zealand to share their happy event.
We had to resort to Plan B for the marriage ceremony yesterday & move in-doors when Tarame & Ian married. As Tarame arrived a beautiful rainbow shone through the clouds, followed swiftly by a sun shower. Luckily, we all dodged the rain.
Tarame walked down the aisle with her father, Alan. Brian, the bride’s brother read a special poem which resonated with the bride & groom.
